Highway 227 construction could cause delays in SLO County this week. Here’s when

Heads up, commuters: Highway 227 just outside of San Luis Obispo will likely see some traffic delays Monday due to construction work in the area.

According to Caltrans, a paving project between Los Ranchos Road and Biddle Ranch Road will result in one-way reversing traffic control between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

The project is expected to use approximately 500 tons of asphalt, Caltrans said in a news release.

The road agency warned travelers should expect delays of up to 15 minutes, and should allow extra time for their commute through this area.

There will be flaggers on both ends of this lane closure, and message and directional signs will be in place to alert drivers, Caltrans said.
