Central Coast firefighters rescue 14-year-old dog trapped in creek
A dog stuck in a creek — instead of a cat trapped in a tree — had to be rescued by Montecito firefighters Saturday.
At 10:30 a.m., personnel from the Montecito Fire Protection District were dispatched to San Ysidro Creek to help man’s best friend.
The 14-year-old large dog dubbed Wilson was struck in the creek, and his owner needed some assistance getting the dog back up to level ground.
“His family found him there after he did not return home from his normal time outside,” Montecito firefighters said.
Firefighters carried Wilson, who was not injured, out of the creek and returned him to his family.
