Outage knocks out power to 1,200 SLO County customers

A second power outage in as many days has left hundreds of customers in Atascadero without electricity.

The outage is affecting the business district around Sunken Gardens and neighborhoods east of Highway 101, leaving more than 1,200 residents without electricity.

In total, 1,241 PG&E customers lost power as of 10:45 a.m. Saturday., according to the PG&E power outage map.



The outage reaches San Anselmo Road to the north and Pueblo Avenue to the south.

PG&E was investigating the cause of the outage.

On Friday 1,420 PG&E customers lost power at about 6:30 a.m., according to the PG&E power outage map. That outage was centered on the west side of the city, and power was fully restored by midday.
