Update: Power restored to 3,500 customers in southern San Luis Obispo County

More than 3,500 customers are without power Wednesday morning due to an outage impacting residents in southern San Luis Obispo County.

According to PG&E’s outage map, 3,570 customers are without electricity as of 11:30 a.m. The outage was reported just after 9:30 am.

The outage seems to be impacting residents between San Luis Obispo and the southern coast, namely in Avila Beach and Pismo Beach.

PG&E is investigating the cause of the outage. Power is expect to be restored by 4:45 p.m.
