Vice President Kamala Harris visited Vandenberg Space Force Base on Monday to tour the Central Coast military installation and to announce a new U.S. commitment to halting anti-satellite missile testing.
The rare visit from a sitting vice president was met with increased security and a bevy of local government and military officials.
