California gas prices hit record high. Here’s how SLO County compares (Hint: It’s not great)

California gas prices have been breaking records as costs at the pump skyrocket amid the Ukraine crisis — and San Luis Obispo County is certainly no exception.

As of Monday, San Luis Obispo County had the sixth highest gas prices in California, behind areas like Mono County where the average cost of a gallon of regular gas was $6.02 as of Monday, and Humboldt County, where the average per gallon cost was $5.71.

San Luis Obispo County, meanwhile, had an average cost per gallon of $5.60.
