71-year-old woman hit by car in Nipomo dies from injuries
A pedestrian hit by a car in Nipomo on Friday died from her injuries the next day, according to a news release from California Highway Patrol.
Darian Hansen, 70, was driving on Black Lake Canyon Road Friday afternoon. Dorothy Desantis, 71, was walking on Jones Lane when Hansen turned onto the street and the front of his car hit her.
Desantis was “thrown to the ground” and suffered major head trauma and a broken arm, according to the CHP.
Desantis was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center. She died around 4:04 a.m. Saturday.
Hansen was not injured in the collision. He has not been arrested, according to CHP.
