Henry the orange tabby is an indoor kitty looking for a cozy sofa top of his own
Henry might well have been named Walter Mitty. For he’s a mild-mannered orange tabby who appears to have once dreamt of a life filled with outrageous adventure.
To look at him, he is what he appears to be — a sweet, pumpkin-colored, 5-year-old tabby with green-gold eyes who gratefully appreciates being petted.
Yet before arriving at the SLO County Animal Services’ shelter, he must have been exploring his adventurous alter ego, only to discovered that swashbuckling dreams are much more dangerous in the real world.
When he arrived at the shelter, it was clear his efforts to boldly go where no cat had gone before, had resulted in a torn ligament in his left hind knee.
Such an injury doesn’t heal by itself. Thankfully — due to donations to the shelter’s ARF Fund — Henry received the surgery he needed to repair his knee. Now his prognosis is excellent and he’s ready to be adopted into a loving home where he came complete his recovery.
Having found that life on the outside is not as wonderful as he imagined, Henry’s ideally suited for a person or family who appreciates his true self — an indoor kitty who yearns to discover every sofa top and explore the joys of a contemplative life.
Daydreamer Henry is looking for a home with a kitty-friendly window so he can observe the thrills and spills of the outside world from his cozy, safe place inside.
