Person dies after falling off cliff near Pismo Beach hotel
A person died Monday afternoon after falling over the side of a Pismo Beach cliff, according to Cal Fire San Luis Obispo.
The incident occurred about 2:35 p.m. near the Shore Cliff Hotel at 2555 Price St., Cal Fire said via Twitter.
A photo shared by Cal Fire showed a firefighter climbing down the rocky cliffside to the patient below.
An emergency responder performed CPR on the fall victim, Cal Fire said.
The agency confirmed at about 3:12 p.m. that the person was dead.
The Pismo Beach Police Department responded to the scene to investigate, and the San Luis Obispo City Fire Department also assisted with the incident.
