Cal Fire rescues climber ‘frozen over the side’ of cliff in Pismo Beach

Cal Fire rescued a climber who became stuck on a cliff in the Pismo Beach area on Tuesday.

According to a tweet Tuesday night, the agency responded to the scene of the cliff rescue in the Ebb Tide Lane area of Shell Beach.

The climber became frozen in place about 20 feet down while attempting to climb the 60 foot cliff, Cal Fire said.

Cal Fire made contact with the climber at around 7:45 p.m. and safely lowered the person to the beach below.
