SLO County sheriff finds missing rural Paso Robles man

Update 6 p.m.:

Shahan has been located, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

He was found soon after the office sent out an alert asking for information on him, according to a news release.

“The Sheriff’s Office would like the thank the community for their assistance in this case,” read the release.

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s help in finding a missing Paso Robles man.

John Shahan, 67, was reported missing on May 30, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

Shahan is described as a white man standing 6 feet, 3 inches tall with gray hair and green eyes, the agency said.

According to the release, Shahan’s last known address was in the Jardine Road area of Paso Robles. He may, however, be currently living out of his gray 2005 Dodge Durango, according to the release.

Shahan’s vehicle has a Utah license plate with the plate number 9G3AG, according to the release.

Shahan has reportedly spent time traveling between Arizona, Utah, California, Colorado and Hawaii.
