SLO County sheriff finds missing 12-year-old who ran away from rural Paso Robles home

A missing 12-year-old boy who had ran away his home in rural Paso Robles area has been found.

According to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office, Anthony Jauregui was found the next day in the same general area where he went missing.

Jauregui was reported missing Monday evening after he was seen walking away from his home in the Jardine area of Paso Robles without a phone or money, the news release said.

Deputies immediately began a search for Jauregui and a reverse-911 call went out to residents in the area, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Then members of the Sheriff’s Office’s Search and Rescue Team began looking for the child.

He was found Tuesday evening, the agency said.

Jauregui has been reunited with his family, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
