Adam Hill was elected to serve a fourth term as San Luis Obispo County District 3 supervisor, according to the latest ballot count.

A report from the county clerk-recorder shows Hill with 51.4% of the vote, 601 more than challenger Stacy Korsgaden, and only 512 district ballots left to count.

Hill is in recovery after a medical emergency Wednesday and could not be reached for comment when the latest results were released Friday evening.

His wife, Dee Torres-Hill, issued a statement to The Tribune on his behalf but did not respond to followup questions.

“We’re very grateful the majority of voters saw fit to send Adam back for another term,” Torres-Hill said. “Thank you to everyone who’s expressed support for Adam’s well-being. We’ll have more to say later.”

Supervisors Debbie Arnold and John Peschong were also reelected to their seats on the county board, meaning the board will maintain a conservative majority following the March 3 primary election.

Arnold maintained her strong lead in the most recent count with 53.4% of the vote in the race against challenger Ellen Beraud. Arnold has a lead of 1,393 votes with 1,199 ballots left to count.

Arnold is the only candidate who released a statement Friday.

“I am beyond humbled and honored that my neighbors have given me another four years to serve as their voice on the Board of Supervisors,” Arnold said. “This campaign has always been about delivering real results to ensure that we preserve a strong SLO County way of life. I look forward to getting back to work and fighting for the residents of our great community.”

John Peschong beat challenger Stephanie Shakofsky with the largest margin, gaining 66% of the vote in the latest report.

All the results are considered unofficial until a final election results report is released.
