Watch Atascadero Lake overflowing into its drainage channel

Atascadero Lake became the first local lake to spill this week when it reached its capacity and began emptying into a drainage channel.

The water is now flowing steadily out from the drainage near the playground at Atascadero Lake Park. From there, the channel runs under Highway 41 and into Atascadero Creek.
