The Downtown San Luis Obispo Farmers Market and holiday activities scheduled for Thursday night have been canceled because of rain.

The San Luis Obispo Downtown Association announced the cancellations on its Facebook page, citing the rain storm currently sweeping through the county.

Forecasts are calling for 0.5 to 0.75 inches of rain Thursday through Friday, PG&E meteorologist John Lindsey said. The rain should wrap up sometime Saturday.

The association’s Snow Night, where the group trucks in real snow for children — and the young at heart — to play in, will be rescheduled to Dec. 15.
