Thousands are isolating in SLO County because of COVID. We want to know what it’s like

Is it January 2022 or March 2020?

Almost two years into the pandemic, some things are looking eerily similar to where we started, with thousands of people back under orders to quarantine amid the latest omicron surge.

Right now, it’s estimated that at least 2,700 San Luis Obispo County residents are self-isolating after receiving positive coronavirus tests, and countless others are quarantining after possible exposures.

The Public Health Department said with the rise in use of at-home tests, it’s almost impossible to track the exact number of people who are self-isolating now after testing positive for COVID, but the true number of people quarantined at home is likely way bigger.

So now that so many of us are stuck at home again, we at The Tribune want to know how it is going.

Are you having trouble getting food or supplies? Are you quarantining with housemates or going solo? Have you had a hard time finding at-home tests so you can test out of isolation?

Share your thoughts, worries, advice and questions with us in the form below and you’ll help us cover this latest phase of the pandemic.
