California has one of the “most outrageous” shakes in the country and it’s perfect for sweet treat lovers, Yelp says.

Big D’s Burgers in Whittier is known for its massive and decadent milkshakes among Yelp reviewers.

And now Yelp has recognized it as one of the 11 “most outrageous” milkshakes in the U.S.

Yelp highlighted the strawberry shortcake milkshake. It’s made with strawberry shortcake-flavored ice cream and topped with whipped cream and pastries, such as a doughnut, cupcake, Pop-Tart or a slice of strawberry cheesecake.

“The milkshake is a meal on its own. Not exaggerating,” one Yelp reviewer wrote.

The restaurant says the added sweet treat toppings rotate.

Big D’s Burgers also sells an array of other “over the top” shakes, including flavors like s’mores, captain crunch, Fruity Pebbles and Oreo.

This restaurant also serves huge burgers.

“If you’re into the whole gimmick of gigantic burgers that’s cool, just know that if you were to get a plain burger with maybe only lettuce or onion, it’d be a treat as well,” another person said on Yelp.

Yelp reviewers recommend the outlaw burger, which is topped with sharp cheddar, smoked apple wood bacon, crispy shoestring onion rings and “drenched” with BBQ sauce.

“Decided on the outlaw burger and an order of the bacon wrapped onion rings and all I can say is hello flavor town!!!” one reviewer wrote.

Whittier is about 20 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles.
