Yelp released a list of the top 22 bakeries in the U.S. and Canada.

Four bakeries across California made the list, from San Diego and Garden Grove in the south to San Francisco and Walnut Creek in the Bay Area.

These spots offer a variety of sweet treats and pastries like cookies, cupcakes and croissants

To find the best bakeries shops, Yelp looked at U.S. businesses in the bakery category. Then each place was ranked based on the total volume and ratings of reviews.

IZOLA San Diego, CA

This San Diego bakery was ranked the No. 1 best bakery in the U.S. and Canada.

IZOLA is a “tiny bakery” above a photo studio that started selling croissants and sourdough bread at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in June 2020.

Customers can pick from a variety of croissants, including chocolate, almond, blackberry and everything croissants. Or the bakery has several sourdough loaves such as seedy multi-grain, roasted garlic, olive or cranberry pecan.

“This place really is incredible. Everything we’ve had here, croissants, sourdough and my favorite, the multi-seed sourdough, are just amazing.” one Yelp reviewer wrote.

Another reviewer even compared IZOLA’s treats to one’s found in Paris.

“You will feel like you’ve been transported to Paris with the exquisite pastries,” the reviewer said.
