A ice cream shop in California landed a spot on Yelp’s list of the “best ice cream in every state and province 2022.”

Yelp says Confetti Italian Ice & Custard is a top choice to get cold and sweet treats that are “clearly made with love.”

To find the best ice cream shops, Yelp looked at U.S. businesses in the ice cream category. Then each place was ranked based on the total volume and ratings of reviews between April 21, 2021, and April 21, 2022.

The study was released ahead of National Ice Cream Day on July 17.

Confetti Italian Ice & Custard

Yelp reviewers raved about this Costa Mesa ice cream shopthat also whips up soft serve custard and Italian ice.

“Seriously the BEST ice cream in all of Southern California!!!” one reviewer wrote. “It’s the creamiest, smoothest, most flavorful stuff I’ve ever had. We drive 30 mins each way to come, that’s how good.”

Every sweet treat is handmade in small batches. Ice cream flavors include Oreo milkshake, taro, mint crumbs, pistachio, honeydew, black sesame and green tea.

Italian ice drinks also come in an array of flavors such as watermelon, margarita, horchata and peanut butter. Soft serve comes in two flavors: vanilla custard and pineapple dole whip.

“The unique flavors are some of the best ice creams I’ve ever had. This is not your every-day normal ice cream,” another reviewer said.
