Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opens Friday at Disneyland. How to beat the line
Disneyland’s newest ride Rise of the Resistance opens at the park’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on Jan. 17, but visitors should hurry up and download the app before all of the boarding groups fill up, according to KTLA.
The ride promises to be “unlike anything” else at the park and puts the Resistance against the First Order, the resort’s website said.
The immersive attraction also uses “a number of high-tech special effects, automated storm troopers, and live actors,” according to CBSLA.
It’s the second ride to open at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge since it opened last summer, CBSLA reported.
Boarding groups already have begun filling up in as little as 23 minutes, according to WDW News Today.
Guests are encouraged to download the Disneyland app to access the virtual queue, according to KTLA. You can go to “Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Access by Boarding Group” on the app’s page. After entering Disneyland, request to join a boarding group.
Disneyland has warned that “getting on the ride is subject to capacity” and that joining a boarding group doesn’t guarantee a spot on the ride, KTLA reported.
So far, reviews for the attraction have been positive.
“Rise of the Resistance,” which uses four different ride systems, “combines cast interactions, practical effects, and ‘wow’ moments to create THE Star Wars experience park visitors have wanted,” according to 10News.
