Disneyland is so packed it had to stop selling tickets today. It’s not the first time
Disneyland temporarily suspended ticket sales on Friday because of overcrowding in the park, officials say.
“We have temporarily stopped selling tickets to Disneyland Park,” read the statement on Disneyland’s Twitter account. “As of 11:40 am, Disney California Adventure Park tickets remain available.”
Park officials told Fox10 that Disneyland has reached capacity and that guests who have purchased annual passports will still be allowed into the park.
“Visiting the Disneyland Resort during the holidays is a tradition for many people and on high demand days like today, we do all we can to welcome as many guests as possible,” a Disneyland spokesperson told McClatchy News in a statement.
Earlier in the day, the park’s Twitter page read, “Disneyland Park is very busy today. Please check the Disneyland App for the latest wait times and schedules to plan your day.”
Officials also said that guests who bought divert tickets (a park ticket with hopping ability) would be able to use them later in the day, according to 23ABC News Bakersfield.
Disneyland said there was no estimated time when tickets would be sold again, Fox10 reported.
The park has suspended ticket sales during the busy holiday season in the past. In December 2018 and December 2017, officials tweeted that they would have to temporarily stop selling tickets.
