California jewelry store opens in downtown SLO with special gift offers
A Laguna Beach jewelry brand has officially taken its first steps into San Luis Obispo County.
On Monday, Gorjana opened its first local store in the vacant downtown San Luis Obispo storefront that had previously housed Bluemercury.
That business abruptly shut down its 949 Higuera St. spot in January.
Now Gorjana, which was founded by Gorjana Reidel and Jason Reidel in 2004, is celebrating the opening of its new location.
The pair opened their first retail storefront in Laguna Beach in 2016 and have spent the past decade growing the business across the country.
The San Luis Obispo location will be the business’s first in San Luis Obispo County. Currently, the nearest Gorjana is in Santa Barbara.
According to a news release, the local store brings “the brand’s signature blend of timeless elegance and modern design to the region.”
“Rooted in connection and community, the new location reflects Gorjana’s relaxed yet refined California lifestyle, inviting customers to discover pieces that are both meaningful and wearable every day,” the release said.
The brand’s offerings include 14k gold and diamond collections, as well as more trendy and accessible pieces that come in under $50.
On Monday, Gorjana celebrated the opened with exclusive special gifts with purchase and one-on-one styling sessions to help guests curate their own jewelry stacks.
The business is expected to be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
