A build-your-own pizza chain has closed one of its locations in San Luis Obispo County.
Blaze Pizza at 892 Foothill Blvd. in San Luis Obispo has closed its doors as of Dec. 31. A sign on its glass door read, “Effective immediately Blaze Pizza is now closed permanently.”
The business also wrote it “sincerely appreciate(d) all our customers for their support over the years.”
The pizza spot first opened in the University Square on May 5, 2016, alongside several new businesses in the shopping center like Milestone Tavern Bar and Grill, Lassens Natural Foods & Vitamins and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen.
Blaze Pizza served custom-built pizzas, salads, drinks and dessert and opened locations in Paso Robles, Arroyo Grande and Santa Maria, in 2017 and 2018.
Blaze Pizza’s other locations in SLO County are still operating in Paso Robles at 2051-A Theatre Drive and Arroyo Grande at 150 W Branch St. The chain also has a location in Santa Maria at 715 Betteravia Road.
