SLO County’s Brown Butter Cookie Co. partners with Ghirardelli on a new creation
Brown Butter Cookie Co. is teaming up with Ghirardelli to create a new line of shortbread treats featuring three flavors of chocolate chips.
The Brown Butter Sea Salt Shortbreads made with Ghirardelli chocolate chips will be available at the cookie maker’s San Luis Obispo County shops starting Wednesday, the company said in a news release Tuesday.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Ghirardelli and expand our shortbread cookies product line with their elevated chocolate flavor profiles,” co-founder Traci Hozie-Alderson said in the release. “The combination of our brown butter, vanilla, and sea salt cookie with Ghirardelli’s chocolate chips has created a flavor profile that our customers are going to crave.”
The company is holding a launch celebration on June 22 with a special offer for customers to try all three of the new flavors — white chip, chocolate chip and dark cocoa chocolate chip.
Customers who purchase any “Made with Ghirardelli” project will receive a gift sampler containing one each of the new shortbread flavors.
The offer will be available in all of the cookie company’s locations in Cayucos, downtown San Luis Obispo, and downtown Paso Robles.
