Coffee time! Dutch Bros sets opening date for newest SLO County location
San Luis Obispo County’s newest Dutch Bros Coffee location is just days away from opening.
The coffee chain plans to hold a grand opening for its new Nipomo location on Friday, according to spokesperson Olivia Ortiz.
The new drive-through spot will offer all of the coffee chain’s signature drinks, from freezes and smoothies to coffee classics. It will be open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Dutch Bros took over and renovated what used to be Little Jockos at 149 S. Frontage Road after the restaurant closed in mid-2021.
The Nipomo location will be the second Dutch Bros coffee shop in San Luis Obispo County. The first spot opened to much fanfare in Arroyo Grande in February 2021.
Dutch Bros has more than 400 locations across the United States and is known for an eclectic mix of coffee, energy drinks, smoothies and other drinks, served by energetic “bro-istas” — usually young, smiling workers who bop along to music as they deliver drinks.
Dutch Bros opened another Central Coast location in Santa Maria in early 2021.
