Harbor Freight Tools is opening a second SLO County location — and it’s looking to hire
A hardware store chain is opening its second San Luis Obispo County location this spring.
Harbor Freight Tools will open a Paso Robles store at 160 Niblick Road in the Wal-Mart shopping center, a release from the chain said.
Workers have already started construction to renovate the new location, a now-vacant storefront previously occupied by Staples.
“We’ve been looking to open a location in Paso Robles for a number of years so that we can provide the tools and equipment at tremendous values to the community,” said Trey Feiler, senior vice president of real estate and construction for Harbor Freight, in the release.
“In addition to finding a great location, we were attracted by the availability of great associates in the Paso Robles area, and we look forward to having them join the Harbor Freight team,” Feiler added.
Harbor Freight has one other county location on Higuera Street in San Luis Obispo. The chain also has Central Coast stores in Santa Maria and Lompoc.
“From hand tools and generators, to air and power tools, from shop equipment to automotive tools, Harbor Freight offers more than 7,000 tools and accessories at quality levels that match or exceed competing brands, but at prices that are up to 80% less,” the store’s website said.
The Paso Robles location will hire 25 to 30 employees, including “sales and logistic supervisors, senior associates, sales associates, and seasonal opportunities,” the release said.
