Time to dust off your mini-golf skills: Boomers in Santa Maria is set to reopen this weekend.

The amusement park announced it will reopen Saturday after being closed since December 2020 due to California’s statewide stay-at-home order.

“We are providing our guests with a much-needed day of fun,” Boomers CEO Tim Murphy said in a news release. “We know that means instilling confidence in them that we are going above and beyond to provide a clean, safe place for fun.”

Only some of the park’s operations will be open at this time.

According to the release, the park’s mini-golf, go-karts, bumper cars, rock wall, batting cages and outside dining will all be open.

Guests and staff will have their temperatures checked upon entering the park, and all team members have been given personal protective gear for every shift, according to the release.

Rides, bathrooms and high-touch areas will be “rigorously cleaned throughout the day” and sanitation stations will also be available throughout the park, according to the release.

“These enhanced safety protocols have become the new norm for our team members,” Murphy said in the release. “They are happy to be back at work and helping to provide guests with a happy experience in such uncertain times.”

The Boomers amusement park chain features eight parks across California, Florida and New Jersey.

Only the Santa Maria, Irvine and Los Angeles locations are reopening this weekend, as well as a location in Boca Raton, Florida, according to the release.
