Oscar the husky is ‘perfect mix of active and mellow. He’s ready to find his forever home
Adoptable Oscar is ready to find his person.
This 4-year-old sweetheart stands out at the San Luis Obispo County Animal Services shelter, due to his charismatic personality, love for other dogs, and cuddly nature. He’s on the smaller side for a husky, weighing about 40 pounds.
Oscar hasn’t met a dog he didn’t like and plays well with pooches of all different sizes and kinds of demeanor. He would make a great addition to a multi-dog household, but would also be perfectly content in a single dog home.
Recently, Oscar took a field trip from the shelter and had an amazing time exploring Morro Bay. He walked incredibly well on the leash, showed off his tricks to friendly passersby, happily received lots of affection and made numerous four-legged friends.
Oscar likes to be picked up to get in the car, but he’s an A-plus passenger once he’s been lifted into his chariot. He’ll happily shower you with kisses to say thank you.
After his visit to Morro Bay, Oscar enjoyed relaxing in a home environment and had an amazing time taking naps and cuddling with his foster mom.
Even though he doesn’t exactly fit, Oscar loves crawling into people’s laps and could stay there for hours.
He’s the perfect mix of active and mellow, and his happy-go-lucky nature is bound to make someone very happy.
To meet Oscar outside of the shelter, swing by Skippers Brew Coffee Shop, 1242 Monterey St. in San Luis Obispo on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon for our monthly adoption event.
