Patrick the gentle tabby cat is just waiting to be noticed. Help find him a forever home

Patrick is looking for someone who appreciates the great comfort a lap cat can provide.

He’s a big, 5-year-old sweetheart of a brown tabby who patiently waits to be noticed and appreciates every human kindness.

Given his gentle and affectionate nature, it’s hard to believe that Patrick been at the San Luis Obispo Animal Services shelter for more than two months.

It’s likely that Patrick is being overlooked in part due to his preference for observing life from a favorite perch in one of the shelter’s Cat Community Rooms, rather than being in the thick of things.

His easygoing attitude may also be a problem — even when Patrick connects with a prospective adopter, getting the affection he craves.

If a confident kitty hones in on the action, Patrick tends to defer to this cat, thus missing his opportunity to find a lifelong home.

Since Patrick is successfully co-habitating with the other kitties, he’d likely be fine with other social cats.

Still, shelter volunteers are sure he’d be happiest as a cherished only pet.

Indeed, a calm household with a loving family or individual would be a dream come true for Patrick.

If you want a friendly feline to be a fine lap-warmer during cold winter nights, as well as good company the rest of the year, come spend time in one of the shelter’s Cat Community Rooms.

Please keep an eye out for Patrick, who will be watching, waiting, and hoping for someone who’s looking for a kitty just like him.
