Cute kittens Ebony and Obsidian are healthy, happy — and still looking for homes
Obsidian and Ebony’s life has been a roller coaster.
The lowest point was when they were skinny, 4-week-old orphans who had no human family to care for them.
Luckily, a kind stranger found the kittens and made sure they reached the San Luis Obispo County Animal Services shelter. The young cats were next placed in a foster home.
Because of all the uncertainty in their lives, Obsidian and Ebony were very scared.
Under the foster families’ tender care, the two kittens thrived and soon discovered the wonder of toys and the pleasure of a person’s caress.
At around 3 months old, Obsidian and Ebony were healthy, happy and ready for adoption, so they went back to the shelter.
Sadly, black felines are regularly overlooked by adopters.
Now, at 4 months old, these kittens are still looking for homes.
These feline-friendly kittens are enjoying socializing with other cats in one of the new animal shelter’s Feline Community Rooms.
Cat-loving people are welcome in the rooms any time the shelter is open.
Whether you’re looking to adopt or just need some kitty time, visitors help homeless cats remember how wonderful people can be..
Obsidian and Ebony would appreciate a visit from you. It’s been a wild ride for the two cats, and they know what a difference human kindness can make.
The shelter’s Feline Community Rooms are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. They’re closed Sundays and holidays.
