For Sasha the sporty beagle mix, ‘every walk is a grand adventure.’ Help her find a home

Mutts are one-of-a-kind dogs.

Sasha is a sporty, compact mix with a happy disposition.

Due to her markings, short coat and stocky medium build that’s somewhat low to the ground, it’s my guess that she’s a peagle or a beabull — in other words, a pit bull-beagle mix.

No matter the breed, the most important thing about a pet is what’s inside.

Sasha is a cheerful and curious girl who seems to find joy with every breath.

For Sasha, every walk is a grand adventure filled with opportunities to discover new wonders.

This fun, approximately 2-year-old pooch also wants to please, especially if treats are involved.

Training Sasha is an entertaining opportunity to watch the little gears in her head whir and her tail wag in anticipation, as she strives to figure out how to earn your praise and a yummy treat.

While at the San Luis Obispo County Animal Services shelter, volunteers have put Sasha’s love of treats and desire to please to good use.

She’s improving on loose-leash walking, sits on command, and gently takes treats from your hand.

Sasha is a lovely match for someone looking for a canine companion whose positive attitude is contagious.

Even though Sasha has shown herself to be easy to bathe, travels well in the car and is a happy girl, she’s been overlooked by adopters.

Sasha is a special girl who, like every homeless dog, longs to be someone’s cherished four-legged love.

How to adopt
