Pigeon the cheerful kitten chirps like a bird — and she’s looking for a new home
What’s black, orange and cream but coos like a bird? A bright and cheerful kitty named Pigeon, that’s who!
This 4-month-old tortoiseshell beauty gained her name because of the sweet, birdlike chatter that complements her even sweeter disposition. To know this fun and silly feline is to love her.
Regardless of how sweet a kitten may be, homelessness happens. Fortunately for Pigeon, a Nipomo animal welfare nonprofit stepped up to help.
Animals In Need Fund (AINF) provided Pigeon with a foster home and medical care.
This care included her kitten shots, deworming, microchipping, starting her on a flea preventative and her test for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, which came back negative. Her next stop is AIN’s Spay and Neuter Clinic.
Beyond preventing unwanted litters, altering pets like Pigeon helps them live happier and healthier lives. It reduces the likelihood of aggressive behavior, marking and roaming, as well as prevents some forms of life-threatening cancer.
To help owners and their pets, AINF hosts a monthly Spay and Neuter Clinic where feline surgeries are $25. That fee includes free microchipping.
Pigeon coos in anticipation of a family looking for sweet kitty kisses provided by a feline who is skilled in hide-and-seek and is a master snuggler. She’s ready to be your confidant as well as befriend your kitten-friendly dogs and cats.
