Daisy the playful pit bull is still looking for a forever home

In the bustle of modern life finding love is challenging, especially now when it’s a struggle to meet a friend, let alone someone new.

Due to her unsinkable belief in the goodness of people, Daisy knows love is worth the effort. Her faith is unshakable, even though for the past six months, her dream of a forever home has eluded her.

If you regularly read Pet Tales, you may recall Daisy’s story. She came to the San Luis Obispo County Animal Services shelter in January with a severe, blistering sunburn that required medical care and a lot of TLC.

Through it all, 10-year-old Daisy remained her affectionate, playful, chew toy-loving self.

Due to the care Daisy has received, her skin healed and her coat grew back.

However, since she’ll always be sun-sensitive, her dream adoptive family should long for a fashionista indoor pit bull who always sports an eye-catching, sun-savvy T-shirt whenever outdoors.

Daisy’s foster mom says Daisy loves cuddling and lounging around the house but is not above occasional great-to-be-alive bursts of joy. Daisy is crate-trained and yearns to be loved so she’s ideal for a one-pet household.

To help Daisy find a home, shelter staff has arranged for half her adoption fee to be paid and volunteers have selected some stylish T-shirts for her new family to take home with her.

Daisy has faced more challenges than most in her quest for a loving home. Still, she’s patient, as she knows true love is worth the wait.
