It’s kitten season in SLO County. Here’s how to help
Kittens and puppies top the cute list and win our hearts simply by existing. They make us laugh with their antics and their vulnerability makes us yearn to keep them safe.
This yearning becomes a reality for foster families, and with kitten season here, the need for fosters can’t be overstated.
Pax and Twinkle are part of 2020’s first wave of homeless kittens.
When they were found, they were two weeks old and their mother was struggling. Ultimately she couldn’t provide for them and foster families were needed to bottle feed the kitties.
Due to foster care, they’re thriving.
Easygoing Pax enjoys snuggles with the family dog, ignores kitten dramas and gets along with everyone.
Twinkle’s an itty bitty kitty with a strong spirit who holds her own with bigger kittens. But she’s a pushover for people.
Although Pax and Twinkle are still too young for adoption, you can call their foster families for more information at 805-234-5755.
Foster families are needed across San Luis Obispo County all summer, whether it’s to care for weaned kittens, a litter with a mom or bottle babies.
