Hope Family Wines opens new tasting bar in Paso Robles. Take a look inside
Hope Family Wines has opened a new wine tasting bar called Hope on Park in downtown Paso Robles.
The location includes a sidewalk bar and three unique tasting rooms, each with their own theme and tasting profile to match.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring the world of Hope Family Wines to downtown,” owner-winemaker Austin Hope said in a news release earlier this week. “It puts us at the heart of what Paso Robles is all about.”
The sidewalk bar welcomes walk-ups off the Downtown City Park, while those looking for a more refined experience can book a reservation in one of the tasting rooms.
Customers can choose from rooms designed to invoke different auras, from the “Summer of ‘69” to a classic dining club to the Discrete Lounge, which features the Austin Hope brand’s new ultra-limited Discrete label and is inspired by Asian art.
Customers who book reservations for one of the rooms can expect a guided tasting through different selections of Hope Family wines and a space curated to embody the theme of each room.
The walk-up bar is now open for customers looking to enjoy a convenient wine-tasting experience. The tasting rooms will begin taking reservations on June 22.
The family owns six wine brands: Austin Hope, Treana, Quest, Austin, Liberty School and Troublemaker, a selection of which will be served at the new location. Customers who try the sidewalk bar now can have the chance to experience a tasting flight of the company’s wines.
Some wines served at the new location will be exclusive to Hope on Park, the company said in the release.
The Hopes have a long history in Paso Robles. They moved to the area in 1978 and quickly became the region’s largest grower of wine grapes, the company said.
Hope on the Park is the family’s second tasting location. The Austin Hope & Treana Tasting Cellar located on the winery’s estate at 1585 Live Oak Road provides customers with a sit-down and casual approach to wine tasting. Reservations are not required but are strongly encouraged.
The new Hope on Park tasting bar and rooms are located at 1140 Pine St. in Paso Robles. Information on how to book a reservation can be found on the Hope family’s website at hopefamilywines.com/hope-on-park.
