Halter Ranch Winery buys EOS Estate as it expands to Paso Robles’ east side

Halter Ranch Winery and Vineyard has acquired EOS Estate Winery on the east side of Paso Robles, where it plans to launch a new brand.

The winery purchased EOS, which is managed by Foley Family Wines, according to a news release from Halter Ranch.

The deal includes 8.5 acres of vineyards and an 11,000-square-foot winery and hospitality center, according to the release. Halter Ranch told The Tribune the owners are not sharing the purchase price of the property at this time.

“Halter Ranch is excited to launch a new wine brand and experience on the Highway 46 East corridor in Paso Robles,” Halter Ranch winemaker Kevin Sass said in the release. “We look forward to welcoming guests later this year.”

The space includes a large kitchen and dining spaces as well as outdoor patio seating and outdoor landscaping and brings Halter Ranch closer to the east side of Paso Robles, winery representatives said.

Halter Ranch is currently located on the western side of Paso Robles off Adelaida Road.

The EOS property has changed hands multiple times. The Firestone family first built the structure in 2007 and operated it as Firestone Wines, according to the new release.

It was then purchased by Foley Family Wines and run as EOS Tasting Room in 2010, the release said.

The purchase of the EOS Estate property is the latest acquisition for the Halter Ranch portfolio. The business also recently acquired Hart Winery in Temecula.
