Who makes the best doughnuts in SLO County? Cast your vote here
Vegan, gluten-free, raised or glazed — whatever type of doughnut is your favorite, you’re sure to find it at one of the many shops in San Luis Obispo County.
By our count, there are at least 10 doughnut spots sprinkled throughout the county, and some establishments have multiple locations. We’re asking our readers to help us narrow down the county’s top spot for this tasty treat.
We’re also limiting this poll to classic doughnut shops, as opposed to bakeries. We’ll spotlight them in a future poll.
Now, just like everybody takes their coffee a little different, when it comes to doughnuts, there’s sure to be some variety in preference.
While some prefer the classics, a chocolate old fashioned or a maple bar, others may lean toward the contemporary, choosing a vegan doughnut or one sprinkled with bacon bits.
So whether you’re a Sunshine Donuts superfan or live and die by a SloDoCo pillow, we’ve got the poll for you.
We know that for some, choosing one favorite shop may be as challenging as picking a favorite doughnut — but we know you’re up to the task. The poll will close next Tuesday, April 5, and we’ll see who takes home the title of best doughnut shop in SLO County.
