Update: These SLO County restaurants are open for dine-in service after coronavirus shutdown
Many San Luis Obispo County restaurants that were closed during the shelter-at-home order — or limited to takeout service only — are either reopening or planning their next steps to do so.
The county received notice on May 20 from the state that it now meets the criteria to lift restrictions on in-restaurant dining and in-store shopping services, with measures to maintain safety and physical distancing.
California’s 12-page guideline for restaurants include temperature checks of employees at the beginning of a shift, at least six feet of distance between tables, limited capacity, and requiring workers within six feet of a customer to wear a mask.
State guidelines also ask customers are also asked to make reservations and wait in their vehicles until it’s time to be seated.
Here are some of the restaurants in San Luis Obispo County that have opened their doors for limited dine-in services. Other eateries have continued their takeout and delivery service, and additional businesses are preparing to open their doors in coming days.
