Foreigner to perform in Paso Robles

Since its inception in 1976, Foreigner has made a world-wide name for itself in rock and roll, producing 10 multi-platinum albums, 16 Top 30 hits and earning a spot in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame just last year.

The band will return to Vina Robles on June 18, having previously performed at the Paso Robles amphitheater in 2019.

Foreigner is behind some of the most enduring rock anthems, including “Juke Box Hero,” “Feels Like The First Time,” and worldwide No. 1 hit “I Want To Know What Love Is” — which is one of a handful of classic rock songs to hit 1 billion streams on Spotify, according to the release.

The band most recently released its single “Turning Back The Time” to celebrate its 2024 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The song was originally written and recorded in 1996.

The band’s founder, Songwriter’s Hall of Fame member Mick Jones, will be joined on stage by lead singer Kelly Hansen, Dokken bassist Jeff Pilson, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, guitarist Bruce Watson, Chris Frazier on drums and guitarist Luis Carlos Maldonado.

Ticket sales for the concert begin Friday at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.

Led Zeppelin tribute coming to Vina Robles

On the heels of his recent tour that wrapped last December, Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening — or JBLZE for short — is back with another round of United States dates.

Bonham follows in the footsteps of his late father and Led Zeppelin drummer, John Bonham.

The current tour commemorates the 50-year anniversary of Led Zeppelin’ album, “Physical Graffiti,” the first of Bonham’s tours to center around a specific album — but don’t worry, Zeppelin classics from other albums will be mixed in, too.

“This is my favorite Led Zeppelin album of all time,” Bonham said in a news release. “I can’t wait for people to come out and see these shows and celebrate this extraordinary record with us.”

Paso Robles is one of the 21 cities Bonham will stop in along the tour, performing at Vina Robles Amphitheatre on May 29.

Tickets went on sale Friday, Feb. 28, starting at $71.70 for general admission and are available on Ticketmaster.

Beyond solo projects such as Bonham and The Jason Bonham Band, Bonham appeared in the movie “Rock Star “ with Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston. He has also lent his talents to Foreigner in past performances and opened for Billy Joel.

Bonham held down the drums for Led Zeppelin’s 2007 reunion at the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert — which set the Guinness World Record for Highest Demand for Tickets for One Music Concert and spawned the “Celebration Day,” Grammy-winning album.

Debuting in 2010, which Rolling Stone magazine hailed JBLZE for its “set of Led Zep gems that were strikingly faithful to the originals.”

The Head and the Heart hits Vina Robles on album tour

The indie folk band behind the popular song “Rivers and Roads,” will perform at Vina Robles Amphitheatre on Sept. 26 on its tour for its newest album.

Releasing on May 9, “Aperture,” will be The Head and the Heart’s sixth studio album and the first record self-produced since the band’s self-titled debut album in 2011.

“For me, Aperture represents the choice we all must make between resigning ourselves to darkness, or letting the light in and recognizing our own agency to do so,” band member Matty Gervais said in a news release. “It feels relevant to the times, in that we’re literally choosing between authoritarianism vs. democracy. ... It’s about choosing hope again and again, no matter how many times it may feel that you have lost it.”

Ticket sales for the concert begin Friday at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.

Every ticket sold for the tour will add $1 to donate to the band’s Rivers and Roads Foundation, which raises money for local Seattle-based music programs and initiatives with an emphasis on equitable access to music education and mental health resources and support for musicians.
