The long days and warm nights of summer are still a few months off, but Vina Robles Amphitheatre is already busy booking acts for one of San Luis Obispo County’s top performance venues, including classic rock concerts, retro tours, a comedy show and more.

Chicago, one of the most influential rock groups of the 20th century, will perform on Tuesday, Sept. 9.

The 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees have charted a Top 40 hit in six consecutive decades — the first American rock group to do so — and have released 38 studio albums during that time.

The band behind “25 or 6 to 4,” “Saturday In The Park,” “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day” and many other hits has toured every year without fail since the beginning, still featuring original band members Robert Lamm on keyboards and vocals, Lee Loughnane on trumpet and vocals and James Pankow on trombone.

Tickets start at $69.85 for general admission lawn seating and are on sale at ChicagoTheBand.com.
