A big name in country music is coming back to the Mid-State Fair in SLO County
The California Mid-State Fair just announced it’s latest grandstand act, and it’s a well-known country star who’s been here before.
Country superstar Keith Urban will return to the Chumash Grandstand Arena at the Paso Robles Event Center on Thursday, July 24, at 7 p.m., the fair announced in a news release.
The concert, a part of Urban’s “High and Alive” World Tour, will feature special guests Chase Matthew, Alana Springsteen and Karley Scott Collins.
Urban also performed at the fair in 2010, 2015 and 2017.
Urban is a country music icon, with the awards to prove it.
He is a four-time Grammy award winner, a 13-time Country Music Association award winner, a 15-time winner of the Academy Of Country Music Awards, a three-time winner of the American Music Awards and a two-time People’s Choice Awards winner.
He has been recognized as one of country music’s most influential artists with inductions into the Grand Ole Opry and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and has collaborated with many musicians including Carrie Underwood, John Mayer, P!nk, Post Malone and The Rolling Stones.
Over the course of his career, Urban has celebrated nine consecutive gold, platinum or multi-platinum albums that have collectively garnered more than 10 billion streams. He has been a judge on “American Idol” in the United States and “The Voice” in Australia. He released his 11th solo album, “HIGH,” in January 2024.
The news release described his concerts as “an experience of emotion, musical texture, energy and showmanship.”
“Urban consistently reminds music lovers around the globe why he is one of the world’s best live performers,” the release said. “His concerts have become legendary — as unpredictable as they are explosive.”
