Singing supergroup Pentatonix has 3 Grammys and millions of fans. It’s coming to Paso
Singing supergroup Pentatonix will perform in Paso Robles this summer.
The Grammy Award-winning group will take the stage on the opening night of the California Mid-State Fair, fair officials announced Friday. It’s the first act announced for the 2020 fair.
Known for its a cappella covers of songs such as “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “The Sound of Silence,” Pentatonix rose to fame after winning NBC’s competitive singing show “The Sing-Off” in 2011.
Since then, Pentatonix has won three Grammys and released seven studio albums, including 2018’s “PTX Presents: Top Pop, Vol. 1” and “Christmas Is Here.” The group, which appeared in the movie “Pitch Perfect 2,” is currently in the middle of its massive World Tour.
Tickets for Pentatonix’s July 22 fair concert cost $36.50 to $116.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24. They can be purchased by phone by calling 1-800-909-FAIR (3247) or online at www.midstatefair.com.
The California Mid-State Fair runs July 22 through Aug. 2 at the Paso Robles Event Center.
