Vina Robles announces dual headliner concert. Here’s who’s coming to SLO County

Two soulful, high-energy music acts are set to deliver “powerhouse performances” in a dual headliner concert at Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles this summer.

The Alabama soul ensemble St. Paul & The Broken Bones and the Grammy award-winning New Orleans artist Trombone Shorty will perform at the venue on Aug. 23, according to a Vina Robles news release.

Their joint summer run is part of a seven-date tour spanning across the western United States.

Fusing sounds of soul, gospel and R&B, St. Paul & The Broken Bones are set to play songs from their sixth studio album, which contains “psych-funk grooves” and “cinematic rock flourishes,” the release said. Previously, the group has performed at some of the biggest music festivals in the world, including Coachella, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo.

St Paul and the Broken Bones performed at sunset in 2014 at the Master Musicians Festival in Somerset, which annual draws up to 6,000 attendees to the two-day event, now in its 28th year. The festival was canceled in 2020 during the pandemic.

The other co-headliner, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, will showcase jazz-centric songs backed up by a brass band. The five-time Grammy nominated artist previously performed at the 2025 Super Bowl, Madison Square Garden and the White House and is “the premier ambassador of New Orleans music,” the release said.

“Together, these two will deliver one of the most dynamic and ecstatic live concert experiences of the summer,” the release said.

Special guest Tré Burt — a singer-songwriter from Sacramento — will also support the two headliners, according to the venue.
