Morro Bay High football team loses in Santa Maria
The Morro Bay High football team struggled to score in a 31-7 loss at Santa Maria on Friday night.
Quarterback Isaac Manuputy completed 9 of 23 passes for 106 yards, and ran for 87 yards for the Pirates (0-3, 0-9 Northern League). He threw two interceptions.
Brandon McGinley scored Morro Bay’s lone touchdown, on a 5-yard run in the second quarter. He had 47 yards receiving and 31 yards rushing.
Danny Koval added 46 yards receiving for Morro Bay.
