Correcting the errors in some Letters to the Editor
In a Letter to the Editor dated Aug. 10 by Phyllis Stout to not support Dawn Ortiz-Legg because of her association with Code Pink is terribly filled with errors (“Don’t give Dawn Ortiz-Legg your vote”).
Code Pink is a woman-led grassroots organization working for peace, human rights and to redirect our tax dollars to health care, education, green jobs and to oppose fake wars like the one in Iraq!
And the same day, another letter by Ralph Bush had so many factual errors I almost didn’t know where to start (“Democrats commit classless acts”)! President Obama inherited what was the most horrendous and deeply depressed economy since the Great Depression! He has taken steps to help us recover, and we are still digging out from under it.
And, as far as the peccadilloes of President Clinton and CEOs being fired for having affairs, I think Bush is being very naive! If CEOs were fired for having affairs, we’d have a lot fewer CEOs.
