A Cal Poly custodian was arrested last week on felony charges including sexual assault and domestic violence.

Mark Francis Caberto Calixterio, 33, of Grover Beach has been ordered to stay away from campus while the criminal investigation of his case proceeds, according to Cal Poly.

Calixterio, who’s on the housing custodial staff, was arrested Sept. 8 by Cal Poly’s University Police Department on suspicion of domestic violence, false imprisonment, sexual assault and assault with intent to commit sexual assault.

Neither the alleged victim nor Calixterio is a student at Cal Poly. The university received a report of the alleged incidents on Sept. 7, and Calixterio was arrested when he reported to work on the morning of Sept. 8.

“To protect victim privacy and confidentiality, we are unable to comment any further about the facts and circumstances surrounding this matter,” said Cal Poly spokesman Matt Lazier in an email.

Calixterio was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail with bail set at $200,000. According to the county sheriff’s website, Calixterio was not in custody as of Monday morning.
