Event to celebrate upgrade in Nipomo

The Nipomo Community Services District will have a ribbon-cutting event Wednesday to mark the completion of a $13 million project to upgrade and rebuild the community’s wastewater treatment facility.

A short program will start at 9 a.m., followed by guided tours of the facility. State Assemblyman Katcho Achadjian is scheduled to attend, along with the district’s board of directors and other local leaders.

The wastewater plant is at 509 Southland St. (at the termination of South Frontage Road) in Nipomo.
