VIDEO: Shark swimming among surfers at Pismo Beach

A visitor from Bakersfield hoping to get some cool video of surfers at Pismo State Beach over the weekend spotted something else in the water — a shark.

Dustin McCaslin took the footage with a drone around 9:15 a.m. Saturday morning. He said he initially thought the dark shape in the water was seaweed but after a closer look realized it looked an awful lot like a shark.

McCaslin said he took the footage to a lifeguard, who confirmed it looked "very sharky" and was likely around 9 to 10 feet long. The lifeguard followed protocol and went out to investigate, McCaslin said.
