Pedestrians can now walk on the recently opened addition to Morro Bay’s multi-use trail, which links the Embarcadero to north Morro Bay.

The new stretch branches off from the Embarcadero at Coleman Park and proceeds north beside the dunes to Little Morro Creek, where a new bike and pedestrian bridge provides access to Atascadero Road, the Morro Dunes RV Park and Highway 41.

The project was funded by the National Scenic Byways Program, federal highway transportation enhancement funds, the SLOCOG Regional Transportation Improvement Program, and the city of Morro Bay.
