Watch firefighters battle vehicle fire backing up Highway 101 traffic on Cuesta Grade

Firefighters were working to extinguish a vehicle-related blaze on northbound Highway 101 at the top of the Cuesta Grade on Wednesday evening.

The fire was first reported about 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, Cal Fire SLO said via Twitter.

The agency shared a video showing firefighters spraying what appears to be a pickup truck engulfed with flames with a hose.

Traffic will be backed up for 30 minutes, according to a Cal Fire tweet sent at 5 p.m.
